Yesterday I travelled up to London, in rush hour and through very sweaty (and I mean sweaty) crowds of people to go to Lock'd in Bermondsey. Thankfully arriving in Bermondsey was simple (jump on the Jubilee line and it takes you straight there) as my phone was dying... yes I know, it sounds like a recipe for disaster! With my excitement growing as I approached Block B, the Biscuit Factory (even the name of the building holds mystery and adds to the whole experience) I swiftly forgot about the sweaty crowds, the dying phone and the blisters on both feet. Once in the building I jumped on the elevator and arrived at Lock'd. So what exactly is Lock'd? It is "immersive quests, escape games and escape rooms for treasure hunt activities" (taken from their equally as cool website) but what exactly does that mean? It is basically a virtual world come to life, an addictive video game come to life and basically the most fun you can possibly have. Lock'd currently have three different rooms (Grandpa's Last Will, Museum Warehouse and Perpetum Mobile ) and you get LITERALLY locked (hence the name) in the room with sixty minutes to get ourself out. I had the pleasure of being locked in Grandpa's Last Will and set with the task of finding his will before the clock ran out and the police show up. Without giving too much away-it was so intense the time went by unbelievably quickly and we found the will with LITERAL SECONDS to spare. I went with one other person but you can bring up to five all together and it really is good for all ages up from eight. Lock'd are opening even more rooms for people to try out and it is ran by three lovely people who design the rooms themselves (each with a different skill that comes together to create the most amazing experience). It is amazing and mysterious and the most fun I have had in a long time. I feel like it would be perfect for a day out with some friends, for bonding with the people you work with or even a stag do/hen do. I cannot wait to go back and try again to beat my last time, and obviously, try out the different rooms. Make sure to click the link in the title to experience for yourself and message me any questions you have! Let me know what room you do and what time you get, let the competition begin!
